CheckBook Maintainance

A cheque book is required by the customer for withdrawal of funds from operative accounts. Once the cheque book is available in the employee location, the employee will be in a position to issue the same to the customer.

Process 

Ø  For issue cheque book invoke menu option is HICHB.Must sure chequebook is allowed for particular account.Select function a-add and press Go.

Ø  Account no., Cheque type and Employee location details are filled, the system displays a list of cheque book lying in the employee location.User have to select the cheque book to be issue.

Ø  The process of cheque book issuance will be authorized by the supervisor o in his / her location by using menu – HICHB we can issue more than one cheque book to a customer

Any user can issue the cheque book irrespective of the fact whether the cheque book is available inhis or her employee location or not. But the same has to be then authorized by that employee in whose location the cheque book is available. Therefore the employee in whose location the cheque book inventory is available must be either the maker or the checker of the cheque book issue transaction. There are times when a particular cheque leaf or leaves already issued to the customer is not linked to the account for some unknown reason. This sometimes happen post migration. In such cases the user can invoke menu HICHBA to link the cheque leaves to the customer account. This option does not require any inventory movement and also does not update any inventory movement records. The

menu should be used in exceptional circumstances only.

Ø  The inquiry of the cheque book issued to the customer and the status of individual cheques can be made using menu HCHBM function. This option is also used to destroy the cheque leaves in the system.

Ø  Menu HICHBR is used to generate the cheque book issue register. View or print reports using menu – HPR.
